As much as custom builds are really cool, I really appreciate it when a company goes out to do something cool and unique in their space, and InWin really blindsided me with some of the coolest ideas I've seen. The coolest concepts I saw form InWin revolve around what the company calls the iBuild iShare product line, and it's all about building your own PC starting even with the case itself. The company wants to make it easier even for beginners to build their own PC, but also provide enthusiasts a way to create something a little wilder or more inventive. There are a few lines that are part of this concept: POC, ModFree, and Dubili. Dubili is potentially the least customizable and more streamlined of the series, but it's also the most premium. These are large, sturdy cases made from premium materials including aluminum, SECC steel, and tempered glass. These cases come in two versions, one being gray and orange and the other being gold, and they both look and feel premium. The design concept of Dubili is quite interesting. This case adopts a modular concept in its design. The material part is made of aluminum alloy (4mm), tempered glass and SECC galvanized steel plate. It is a high-vertical case and can support up to E-ATX motherboard, 160mm CPU cooler and 430mm graphics card.
The InWin Dubili has the following specifications:
Packaging & Contents
The case ships in a large box. The two opposing sides here show the product name on one side, while the other has the InWin naming.
Opening the box up and taking a look inside we find the case very well protected with large pieces of styrofoam and the entire case is covered in a bag.
In terms of the bundle, we will find plastic feet, rubber pads, screws, scratches, a card holder and trays that will allow you to install different things, like SSDs for example.
A Closer Look - Outside
The appearance is very textured. The front and rear are covered with two U-shaped aluminum alloy brackets. The surface has a hairline treatment. The left side panel is made of tempered glass that is not too transparent. The top and bottom of the glass are fixed with metal frames. The overall appearance is titanium gray and silver, with a little orange embellishment.
There is the word Dubili on the upper right side of the glass.
The upper and lower interior of the panel are decorated with orange components, and the word InWin is just highlighted below.
The right side panel has no holes.
There is also the word Dubili on the upper right side.
Side panels, brackets, panels and other panels are fixed with very high-quality screws.
The side panels are fixed with four-sided screws, and a hexagonal wrench is available in the accessories. You need to pay attention when removing the side panel. Because there is no anti-fall design, it is safer to hold the side panel with your hands when removing the fourth screw, or to disassemble the case while it lies flat.
The edges of the hairline U-shaped aluminum alloy brackets on the front and rear are drilled and cut.
In terms of details, InWin has also done a good job, including iBuild laser-engraved hexagonal socket screws and drilled 4mm brushed aluminum handles.
The front panel, for its part, offers a central part in very ventilated and filtered steel, which is fixed with 4 Allen screws. We have the brand logo at the bottom and to find out more you will have to disassemble the whole thing.
The factory default of the case is handle mode. You only need to remove the 8 iBuild laser-engraved hexagonal socket screws on the front and rear handles to replace the original feet with handles. As for the feet, they can be installed inside the case box. Saw 2 plastic feet.
The I/O configuration is relatively simple and quite common, including 1x USB 3.2 Gen 2×2 Type-C, 2x USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-A and 3.5mm HD Audio Combo.
In addition to the built-in magnetic filter on the front panel, we can also see magnetic filters on the top and bottom of the case.
A 360mm or 280mm radiator can be installed on the top of the case.
Of course, 3x 120mm or 2x 140mm fans can also be installed, depending on the user's needs.
At the back now, we have a classic architecture, with a grille at the top, then a 120/140 mm grille with its 140 mm fan, 8 expansion slots with openwork covers, not welded, all on a frameless frame and finally the power supply location at the bottom with a large foam pad.
The original factory-set foot pads are supported by aluminum alloy brackets, and this part can be flipped upside down to serve as a handle.
When changing the foot base to handlebar mode, you need to pay attention to the pre-installed plastic anti-slip pad on the handlebar, which must be removed by yourself.
A Closer Look - Inside
The internal space is quite large. There is no compartment cover for the power supply below. The installation base plate is white.
There are wiring openings on the side of the motherboard, and rubber pads are put on to add texture. Three 14cm Jupiter AJ140 fans are pre-installed on the inside of the front panel, supporting ARGB.
To access the fans you will need to remove the front panel which is held in place with 4 Allen screws.
This will also allow access to the magnetic plastic mesh filter.
The bottom is the power supply installation position. If a fan is not installed on the right side, there is almost no length limit. Two 12cm or 14cm fans can be installed on the right side.
The 2x 2.5-inch SSD mounting brackets inside the case can also be used as shields for the power supply cables.
This design can be said to be quite excellent.
A 14cm Jupiter AJ140 fan is pre-installed on the rear, supporting ARGB.
Let's now turn to the back of the motherboard tray. There is a total of 23 millimeters of space for cables and numerous eyelets for attaching cable ties.
There is a lighting and fan hub in the upper middle, which supports 8 lighting effects and fans. The hub needs to be connected to an external SATA power supply. In addition, this hub does not have a lighting effect control function, so it needs to be connected to the motherboard, and the motherboard software can control the colors and effects.
Behind the motherboard tray we have two brackets at the bottom that are 1 x 3.5" or 1 x 2.5" compatible.
We also have two 2.5" brackets.
Dubili 3D App
In addition, InWin also provides interactive assembly tutorials, which users can download through the Google Play Store or the iOS App Store.
InWin currently provides a QR Code for players to scan. The link can correspond to Apple, Android or online versions. The first two are Apps and need to be installed.
This manual app is very thoughtful. After you click it, you can see three parts: product story, parts and quantities, and installation instructions.
The instruction manual is not the usual PDF, but uses 3D animation teaching, which is quite intuitive and convenient. The screws or tools that need to be used are also directly marked on the screen.
Installation & Finished Looks
The sides of the standard ATX size are still quite empty. After all, it can support up to E-ATX.
Although there is enough space reserved above the motherboard, if you want to install a water cooling, it is recommended to connect the 8pin of the motherboard first. Three 12-centimeter fans or two 14-centimeter fans can be installed on the top, and it can also support 36-centimeter or 28-centimeter water cooling.
There are two metal plates with complete lines and 2.5-inch brackets on the accessories, which can be optionally installed. The location can be installed on the right side or below the motherboard. As for power-supply clearance, the 180mm limit listed by In Win provides fan clearance: without bottom fans, users can place any power supply up to the full interior length of the bottom panel (about 460mm).
The length of the graphics card can be supported up to 43 centimeters, and currently commercially available graphics cards should not exceed this size. It can definitely satisfy the current GeForce RTX 4090 player base. The graphics card support bracket, direction and rubber pad can be adjusted according to the appearance of the graphics card. Be careful not to get stuck on the fan.
The fan configuration of 3 in the front and 1 in the back, with up to 8x 120mm fan installation, makes the air flow of the entire machine simpler.
The entire case can accommodate up to 2x 3.5-inch HDDs and 4x 2.5-inch SSDs. If 3.5-inch HDDs are not installed, InWin Dubili can install 6x 2.5-inch SSDs, which can meet the needs of many users. The cable management is also very well thought out overall. The rear panel offers cable guides and mounting points here and there to route cables.
Finally, here are some lighting effects pictures.
The lighting effect is directly controlled by the motherboard and needs to be connected to the motherboard from a hub.
With the glass side panel installed, the lighting effect feels more low-key. Basically, it should be placed on the table or in a more conspicuous place. It should not be so eye-catching and will not interfere with the screen.
Test System & Methology
For our hands-on test, the following components found a place in the InWin Dubili:
Processor: Ryzen 5 3600
Mainboard: MSI MPG B550 Gaming Carbon WiFi
Memory: Corsair Vengeance RGB PRO
Graphics Card: AMD Radeon RX6900 XT
Power supply: Corsair HX 850
AiO: InWin MR36
Of course, we also subjected the case to a performance test, where we wanted to know how the temperatures of the individual components behave in stress situations and also whether the ventilation concept works. For this, we stressed the processor for 20 minutes with the Prime95 stress test and gave the graphics card a good run with 3DMark Firestrike. The resulting temperatures can be seen in the table below.
Performance
So, what can we say about the ventilation concept? Quite simply, it works very well! The Dubili thermal results are good for both the CPU and GPU. The pre-installed 140 mm fans suck a decent amount of air into the case. The exhaust air that escapes over the radiator in the lid is rather cool and didn’t warm up much. At full speed of the pump, the temperatures still have a lot of room for improvement. Especially if you decide to install more fans, for example on the motherboard tray, you don’t have to worry about the heat development anymore.
Final Thoughts
In recent years, we have seen many cases with similar multi-faceted glass designs. InWin has not joined this design trend and insists on going its own way. Moreover, we hope to use our iBuildShare as a starting point to continue to bring different creativity to players in the PC DIY environment, such as the modular Dubili case, which allows players to assemble it with their own hands. A "real" case. The appearance is overall very coherent and you get some accessories directly included. The choice of materials, coupled with the workmanship and design make the Dubili a true premium case. InWin Dubili is undoubtedly very high-quality. The hairline aluminum alloy frame, panels, side panels and even the screws used for fixing all have good materials and workmanship details, which can be called a high-quality product. The heat dissipation part is also very good. It can be installed with up to 9 fans. The pre-installed are 4 x 14cm Jupiter AJ140 ARGB fans. If combined with 36 or 24 water cooling, most players will not need to add additional expansion. The inside of the front panel can support up to 42cm water-cooled and can also support 36cm at the top. It can accommodatе graphics cards up to 430mm in length. It is perfectly suitable for flagship hardware. If you are a player who insists on tower-type radiators, this case can support them at a height limit of 18 centimeters. Support also includes the E-ATX format. The front-top-bottom panel has a removable filter that users can easily remove for cleaning. The installation of our test system went overall very smoothly and conveniently. The reason for this is, among other things, the sufficient space that is offered to one in this case. Dubili will offer a 3D interactive assembly guide as a dedicated mobile APP. Dubili offers modular Cable Shields for better cable management. This multifunctional bracket is capable of installing an SSD on it, and also can be used as a screw holder to avoid misplacing the screws when assembling the chassis. Three drive trays are located behind the motherboard tray: two up front for 2.5-inch drives, and two along the bottom that can fit either 2.5-inch or 3.5-inch drives. You can mount two more drives to additional trays that are included in the Dubili installation kit. Last but not least, I/O comprises 1x USB 3.2 Gen 2×2 Type-C, 2x USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-A and 3.5mm HD Audio Combo.
InWin Dubili is available in two colors, titanium gray and cream champagne. The price of this unique case is "only" €269, certainly not for everyone, but all in all good considering the quality of the materials offered and the product specifications. We therefore recommend the InWin Dubili to all those who are looking for a very high-end, capacious, robust and highly customizable case, whether they are beginners with assembly or experts.
